Navigation in Viostream is consistent and very straight forward. The basic navigation tools are:
The top menu is always visible in Viostream. It allows you to navigate between Viostream modules. The modules you see on the menu bar will depend on your role and account inclusions.
The top menu helps you to move between the following Viostream modules.
|MEDIA||Use this button to access the media list. This is where the videos and other assets in your account are stored and managed.|
|CHANNELS||Use this button to access the Channels module. This is where you organise and group your media assets.|
|PLAYERS||Use this button to access the Players list. This is where you can create and customise players which are used to distribute your media assets.|
|SITES||Use this button to access the Sites module. This is where you can create simple web pages for distributing channels or live events.|
|LIVE||Use this button to access the Live module. This is where you create live streams for webcasts.|
|REPORTING||Use this button to access the Reporting module. This is where you can view statistics on your media assets and sites.|
The action bar is where you perform actions for the module you are in and items you have selected. The action bar changes depending on the actions available. For example, in MEDIA you can use the action bar to add media assets to channels and delete selected media assets. The action bar is also where the progress of your uploads are displayed.
The Upload Media button is available throughout Viostream. This means you are never more than one click away from uploading a new video to your account.
Through the accounts drop down menu you can:
- Manage the current account or sub-accounts - for administrators
- Edit your user settings - for all users
- Switch to another account - for users with multiple sub-accounts.
Viostream notifications keep you up to date with what's happening in your account, such as a change to the status of your media asset (for example, from processing to online). To see new notifications:
- Click on the blue bell in the top menu to display the latest notification:
- click Ok, got it when you've read the notification.
The footer floats at the bottom of your browser window. From the footer you can access help and copyright information. Often a list, such as the Media list, will contain too many items to display on one page. As you scroll down, more items will load into the list. The footer will continue to be visible at the bottom of your browser.
