To upload a media file:
- Click Upload Media
- Browse for your file (or files)
- Click Open to see your file/s uploading and the upload progress displayed in the progress bar.
When your file has been successfully uploaded, the file name is displayed in the media asset list with the status shown as Processing. This indicates that transcoding is occurring. Once transcoding is complete the status of your media asset changes to Online.
You can add metadata to a media asset while transcoding is in progress.
Common formats that can be uploaded include:
|Video||.mp4, .wmv, .m4v, .mkv, .avi, .flv, .mov, .f4v, .mpg, .mpeg, .mxf||Recorded video content from a camera, mobile device or video conference recording|
|Audio||.mp3, .m4a, .ogg||Recorded audio content|
Cancelling your upload
If you inadvertently upload the incorrect source file, you can stop your upload. To stop the upload:
- Hover your mouse over the upload progress bar to display additional function buttons in the action bar.
- Click Cancel
- Click Yes to confirm cancellation of the upload.
