Live stream troubleshooting

Watching a live stream through the Viostream event page is as easy opening the event link and enjoying the show.

If you do have technical issues with the live stream playback, here are some areas to troubleshoot.

Stream is not playing

Many browsers block streams from autoplay. If the stream is not playing, hover over the play bar. If you see a play button, click it once, and if you see a pause button, double click it to play the stream.

Stream buffering

If the stream frequently pauses and buffers, check your network connection and make sure your signal is stable and consistent. Viostream utilises adaptive bitrate stream to automatically adjust the quality of the stream to best suit your network speed, providing the smoothest experience possible.

Stream is stuck

Give the browser a hard refresh if the stream appears to be stuck and you don't appear to have any network issues. This is as easy as pressing CTRL-Shift-R or ⌘-Shift-R.

When the stream is not currently live, the event page can be set to display holding slides with additional information. Please check the start date & time as well as the end date & time of the live stream. Viostream will automatically display this information based on your system time zone.

If you have any further enquiries on an event, please reach out to the event organisers.
