Your viewers watch your videos through the Viostream player.
The player provides controls to:
- Play and pause your video
- Scrub forwards and backwards through the video (fast forward and rewind)
- Turn on accessibility controls, such as closed captions (if available)
- Change the volume
- Switch to full screen mode.
When you embed a video or channel in your web page, you embed our player at the same time.
You can create a range of custom players for different purposes, and select one players to be your default when embedding your videos.
Create a player for a particular part of your website, create a player with your corporate colours, create a player that compliments the colours in the video. You can have a small or large player to complement the design and available space on your website. You can have lots of players or just one - the choice is all yours!
The player controls that display on the video depend on the video, and content associated with that video, and on the device you are viewing the video on.
The Play / Pause button is used to start and stop the video playback.
|The Volume button displays the volume control which is used to increase or decrease the volume of the video.
When using the player on an iOS device, you use your device's volume controls instead of the volume button.
The time bar displays the current time point and total duration of the video. It also allows you to scrub forward and backwards through the video.
The Full Screen button allows you to switch the player to full screen.
The Closed Caption button appears when a closed captions (subtitle) file has been associated with the video and allows the viewer to turn the captions on and off.
The Sharing button allows you to share a link to the current video on social media.
The download transcript button appears on a player, if it is enabled from the design console of the player. Clicking this button will download a transcript file to user's device.
All players have a unique ID. You can view the player ID in the Players list.
The Player ID can be used to specify a particular player in a media asset embed code.
