Viostream supports all modern browsers (sorry Internet Explorer) across all devices, so you can feel confident that your video will be accessible to everyone who presses “play”.
However, different browsers sometimes have little quirks. Safari refuses to play HLS video that does not have an audio track. We don’t know why, but if your video plays everywhere except for Safari, this might be the reason.
Note: Chrome on iOS is just Safari in disguise, so this issue also affects Chrome/iOS users
If your video does have an audio track and it won’t play in Safari, then please contact Customer Success and we’ll look into your issue!
