Audio Player

When you embed an audio-only Media Asset (such as an MP3), Viostream automatically uses a slim-line audio player instead of the standard video player. The audio player shows a compact control bar with play/pause, progress, volume, and any other features enabled in your Player profile.

Adding a poster image

If you add a thumbnail to an audio-only Media Asset, Viostream will use the full video player instead, with the thumbnail displayed as a static poster image. This is useful when you want a branded visual to accompany your audio content.

To add a thumbnail to a Media Asset, navigate to the asset in the  Library and upload a thumbnail image from the asset settings.

Player profile branding

Custom Player profile branding — including your control bar colour, icon colour, and logo — applies to the audio player in the same way it applies to the video player.

To preview how your branding looks on the audio player, open the Player profile in the Player Editor and use the audio toggle in the preview panel.

Embedding audio content

Audio-only assets use the same embed code as video assets. Copy the embed code from the asset's Share → Embed tab in the  Library. Viostream detects that the asset is audio-only and automatically renders the slim-line audio player.
