Create and Manage Players

A Player profile defines the appearance and feature set of the Viostream Player. You can create multiple profiles — one per brand, platform, or use case — and select the right one at embed time.

Player profiles are managed from the Embed Players tab in Settings.

Create a new Player​

  1. Navigate to the  Settings page.
  2. Click the Embed Players tab.
  3. Click the New Player button.
  4. Enter a name for your Player profile.
  5. Configure the Player using the options in the Player Editor.
  6. Click Save to publish your changes.

The Player Editor​

The Player Editor shows a live preview of your Player as you make changes. Use the video / audio / mobile toggle above the preview to check how your settings look across different player formats.

Duplicate a Player​

To create a new Player based on an existing one:

  1. From the Embed Players tab, locate the Player you wish to duplicate.
  2. Click the menu on the Player card.
  3. Select Duplicate.
  4. Rename and adjust the duplicate as needed, then click Save.

Delete a Player​

  1. From the Embed Players tab, locate the Player you wish to delete.
  2. Click the menu on the Player card.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
caution

Deleting a Player profile will cause any embeds that reference it to fall back to the account default Player. Check which embeds are using the profile before deleting.

Find your Player key​

Each Player profile has a unique Player key (for example, s-abc123). The Player key is displayed directly on the Player card in the Embed Players list. You will need this key when embedding with a custom Player.
