Event States
Every Event moves through a lifecycle of states. Each state can show different content — a holding message before you start, the live stream itself, a wrap-up message once you finish, and a recording afterwards — without viewers needing to refresh or navigate anywhere.

Pre-Event
The Pre-Event state is the default when you first create an Event. Use it to display information about the event before it starts. On the day of your event, you can stay in Pre-Event while testing your live streaming setup, then go live once you're ready for viewers to see the live feed.
During (Live)
The During (Live) state shows your live stream to viewers. This is the only state where a Live stream can be selected as the content source.
Post-Event
The Post-Event state displays once you conclude your event. You can leave an event in Post-Event indefinitely, convert it to On Demand so viewers can watch a recording, or Archive it if you no long wish the page to be accessible to viewers.
On Demand
Once your event has concluded, you can convert it to On Demand from the event page — select a recording from your Library, and choose whether to carry across any slide timings from the live broadcast. Viewers then see this recording instead of the Post-Event message. An On Demand event can also offer an alternate stream alongside the main recording — see Adding event content.
Switching between live states
Pre-Event, During (Live), and Post-Event are controlled live from the Director — see Running your event with the Director for the step-by-step controls. States move forward in a fixed order — Pre-Event → During (Live) → Post-Event → On Demand — you can't skip ahead or jump straight to a later state.

Archiving or deleting an event
Archiving or deleting an event is a permanent action and cannot be undone.
From the event's action menu you can archive an event to remove it from your active list, or delete it permanently. Archiving an event retains all viewer data and takes the event offline. Deleting an event removes all of its data, including registered viewers and reports.
